Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves in the world. It was once so rich that Concorde used to fly from Caracas to Paris. But in the last three years its economy has collapsed. Hunger has gripped the nation for years. Now, it’s killing people and animals that are dying of starvation. The Venezuelan government knows, but won’t admit it!!! Four in five Venezuelans live in poverty. People queue for hours to buy food. Much of the time they go without. People are also dying from a lack of medicines. Inflation is at 82,766% and there are warnings it could exceed one million per cent by the end of this year. Venezuelans are trying to get out. Industry News: Film London, BFI Pact to Continue Supporting LUFF

The match up of support for the event comes after the British government opted to shutter the U.K. Film Council next year.

BERLIN -- U.K. sales agents and British film projects alike at the EFM in Berlin got a lift Sunday as it emerged Film London and the British Film Institute had pacted to continue supporting the London U.K. Film Focus (LUFF).
The LUFF, set to make its eighth annual appearance in June this year, invites international buyers to the British capital for four days of schmoozing, deal-making and beauty parading of British movies.
The match up between Film London and the BFI to support the event is a relief for U.K. sales companies who expressed concern that such events would be shelved after the British government opted to shutter the U.K. Film Council next year.
Film London CEO Adrian Wootton said: "There has been much discussion about the U.K.'s production funds continuing and the tax credit remaining in place to support inward investment, so this is a great opportunity for us to tell the international industry that export is still very much a priority for the U.K. Initiatives to ensure British film talent reaches an international audience are extremely important and vital in supporting a huge number of careers and businesses – from the film-makers to the sales agents."
The event also counts support from regular backers the Mayor of London, U.K. Trade & Investment and Film Export U.K.
